Thanks to the VP Internal, Andy Lee. Our new poster for the Outdoor Installation is ready. In addition, we have a new title for the installation, SenTrix, a combination of words, senses and matrix. The matrix the title refers to is the borrowing reference from a Sci-Fi movie, Matrix, where the concept of matrix is an illusion created via artificial mean, just as what our installation attempting to imitate six senses with alternative approaches.
Tommy Wang, President of Art Hope Foundation, along with William Sun, Project Director of upcoming outdoor exhibition in TAIWANfest paid a visit to the hosting organization of the event, and gave a presentation to them on the detail of the installation works.
To further illustrate their idea, and the scope of the work, they brought along with 1/16 scale models for the installation and reference human figure.
This will be the first time for the foundation to present its works in outdoor setting, and the large venue like TAIWANfest. It is said that the festival is one of biggest cultural street festival in Canada, and every years, it has attracted 50 thousands visitors.
This is not only the great opportunity for the foundation, but for its members to showcase their skills to promote their idea through their artworks.
Art Hope Foundation is in discussion with host organization of TAIWANfest, ACSEA (Asian Canadian Special Event Association) to exhibit our group projects in their venue during the labour day long weekend (from August 30 to September 1). Although, nothing has been set yet, there is high possibility that we can do this. We will keep you updated. If something ever happened, please do visit us during the event.
